IED Madrid Design Awards

Due to the 50th anniversary of the IED Group, their headquarters based in Madrid wanted to pay tribute to all those who somehow are part of the design world (brands, professionals, entrepreneurs or collective) rewarding projects and initiatives that over the past year have contributed to place value upon the roles of design and creativity, bringing closer design to the general public. To achieve this, IED Madrid created their annual awards IED Madrid Design Awards, which were presented at the Aula Magna of the institution in the presence of the Italian Ambassador in Spain.

Among the winners of this first edition are ACME designers Helena Rohner and Miguel Becer, Creative Director of Manémané. Helena Rohner has received the award for "Best project of contemporary jewellery," while Miguel Becer rose with the award in the category "Best fashion creative direction."

The jury was made up by Sheila Loewe (Director of the Loewe Foundation), Liam Aldous (correspondent of Monocle in Spain), the two Michelin stars chef Diego Guerrero, the ambassador in Spain of the Republic of Italy, Stefano Sannino, Riccardo Marzullo, Managing Director of IED Spain, and Marisa Santamaria (Director of Institutional Relations IED Madrid).
