Miguel Marinero presents Social Club

Miguel Marinero and his son, designer Nicolas Marinero, present their first textile collection "Social Club". Made up by twenty cocktail and evening looks inspired by women in the Roaring Twenties, the Marinero’s revive the flapper rebel, the protagonists of the works of F. Scott Fitzgerald, John Held Jr. or Anita Looks as well as sportswomen of the relevance of Helen Wills or Suzanne Lenglen.

Chiffons, crepes, laces and linens in earth tones, pastels and white tinted the twenty pieces that also recall the architecture of the American skyscraper in the last century and the aesthetic revolution in Europe. A complete reminiscent of those times.

This becomes thus the first fully textile proposal by the high-end furrier designer and his son, evoking a versatile and feisty woman, independent and free. One that early last century was involved in outdoor sports, social events, one that had her hair cut garçonne style, filled her wardrobe with simple suits and smoked and drank while she stepped into into the working world without losing her femininity. Just as they burst into the world of fashion and a social environment dominated by men, Miguel Marinero surprises with a daring proposal that makes us travel to the past and pay tribute to these feisty women.
