Spanish athletes will wear fashion from Spain

Spanish athletes will wear fashion from Spain at public events and appearances when representing their respective Federations following an agreement reached between the Asociación Creadores de Moda de España (ACME) and the Higher Sports Council (CSD).

Modesto Lomba, president of ACME, and Miguel Cardenal, president of CSD are extremely satisfied with this agreement symbolizing the association of two important sectors of Spanish society, which united will contribute to build and place value for Brand Spain.

Ona Carbonell, winner of seven medals during the latest World Swimming Championship in Barcelona, has already dressed a Devota & Lomba design during the reception of the Real Orden del Mérito Deportivo.

The basketball girls, winners this season of the World and European Championships in all the categories, commence this agreement during the visit that will be made to the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports, where they will receive a tribute for the achievement of these awards in the presence of the Minister, José Ignacio Wert. Furthermore the Spanish athletes awarded the Premios Nacionales del Deporte, which will be presented on December 2nd at the Palace of El Pardo, will attend the event wearing designs by the creators of the Association.

This agreement is in addition to the stake that various fashion brands have already made upon Spanish sports, amongst them, Pedro del Hierro, member of ACME. The brand of the Cortefiel Group clothes the Spanish football team, world champion in 2010 in South Africa.[:]

Los deportistas españoles vestirán moda de España en eventos y recepciones públicas donde representen a sus respectivas Federaciones tras el acuerdo alcanzado entre la Asociación Creadores de Moda de España (ACME) y el Consejo Superior de Deportes (CSD).

Modesto Lomba, presidente de ACME, y Miguel Cardenal, presidente del CSD, muestran su satisfacción por este acuerdo que simboliza la asociación de dos importantes sectores de la sociedad española, que unidos ayudarán a vertebrar y poner en valor la Marca España.

Ona Carbonell, ganadora de siete medallas en el último Mundial de Natación disputado en Barcelona, ya lució un diseño de Devota & Lomba en la entrega de la Real Orden del Mérito Deportivo.

Las chicas de baloncesto, ganadoras esta temporada de Mundiales y Europeos en todas las categorías, abrirán este acuerdo en la visita que realizarán al Ministerio de Educación, Cultura y Deporte, donde recibirán un homenaje por la consecución de estos galardones con la presencia del ministro, José Ignacio Wert. Además, los deportistas españoles galardonados con los Premios Nacionales del Deporte, que se entregarán el próximo 2 de diciembre en el Palacio de El Pardo, acudirán al acto con diseños de creadores de la Asociación.

Este acuerdo se suma a la apuesta que diferentes marcas de moda realizan ya por el deporte español, entre ellas Pedro del Hierro, miembro de ACME. La firma del Grupo Cortefiel viste a la selección española de fútbol, campeona del mundo en 2010 en Sudáfrica.
