ACME prepares the second edition of “The Showcase of Fashion”

26/05/2015

The headquarters of the Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España transforms again into an exhibit hall with “The Showcase of Fashion”.  An exhibition where three members of ACME: Helena Rohner, Garcia Madrid and Maria Ke Fisherman invite three designers, who do not belong to said, to establish a creative dialogue with them.

The subtle jewellery pieces of Helena Rohner are mixed with the sculptural proposals of Andrés Gallardo, a young label made up by Marina Casal and Andres Gallardo, that since 2010 is inspired by the traditional elements of flora and fauna creating unique porcelain jewellery. Just like the creations of Helena Roher, the pieces by Andrés Gallardo are present in numerous points of sale worldwide.

An original suit hand-painted by García Madrid is shown alongside the work of Michael Oats, a young Andalusian photographer, editor-in-chief and creative director of Paradise magazine, a publication for lovers of fashion and art founded by Manuel Garcia, alma mater of the menswear brand García Madrid.

The high-sport style of Maria Ke Fisherman is displayed next to a delicate design in tulle by MANÉMANÉ. A play of contrasts between the two revelation brands of the moment, both winners of the award Who’s on Next by Vogue. Miguel Becer, creator of MANÉMANÉ, has trained with designers such as Amaya Arzuaga and Angel Schlesser, a task he has combined with the creation of his own collections until achieving one of the major national fashion awards.

This will be the II edition of “The Showcase of Fashion”, conceived as a cycle of small exhibits that transform the headquarters of the Association in a meeting point for fashion design where photography, jewellery and the more avant-garde design proposals coexist in the space of ACME, located in the heart of Barrio de las Letras.

Exhibition from June 11th to July 10th

Hours: Monday through Thursday from 10:00 to 14:00 and 15.00 to 18.00 h.

Friday from 10:00 to 14:00
