The Asociación Creadores de Moda de España collaborates with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment to renew the image of the Food from Spain brand and to create the designs of the decanters of the Best Spanish Extra Virgin Oils Award winners.
ACME convened two contests among its members to develop these designs. A jury composed by chef Diego Guerrero, one of the gastronomic references of our country; architect Manuel Blanco, Director of the Centro Superior de Moda de Madrid; Natalia Bengoechea, Fashion Director of magazine SModa and David Moralejo, Chief Editor of magazine Tapas, were responsible for choosing the winners, the creations by Davidelfin and Teresa Helbig. The ruling was disclosed during the ceremony of Awards Food from Spain for Best Extra Virgin Olive Oil, campaign 2015-2016.
Davidelfín has renewed the image of the Food from Spain brand, which is used to identify the products of the various promotional activities involving Spanish foods made by the Ministry, within our country and abroad, and to distinguish the Food from Spain Awards in all the categories.
The designer from Malaga brings modernity and innovation to the Foods from Spain seal. His unmistakable calligraphy, a left handed signature, gives a touch of avant-garde to this logo that appears as a hashtag, tinted with the colours of the national flag. An ingenious and very visual way to link our cuisine with the social media world.
Teresa Helbig won the design competition for the oil decanters of the Ministry’s awardees. The Catalan designer has drawn inspiration from the traditions of the imagery of Easter and the artisan embroidered mantles of the virgins to dress the best Extra Virgin of our country. A brilliant idea that also links seamlessly with the thoroughness, care and detail that characterizes the couture work of atelier Helbig.
Fashion and gastronomy thus become a perfect marriage. Two creative industries that together add up. The best of Spanish design with the best of our cuisine.[:]
