25 ACME designers will participate in the next edition of MBFWM

Twenty-five ACME designers will participate in the 65th edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, which was presented today at the Hotel Barceló Torre Madrid with important innovations, such as the incorporation of its new Director, Charo Izquierdo. The MBFWM fashion shows also adds new and important names like CUSTO BARCELONA and MENCHÉN TOMÀS, and announces the return of the Galician designer ROBERTO VERINO to its official schedule.

JUAN VIDAL will be the designer in charge of inaugurating the fashion show days to be held, from 17th to 21st of February, in Hall 14.1 of IFEMA where the creations for the fall / winter season 2017-2018 will be presented by the members of ACME: AGATHA RUIZ DE LA PRADA, AILANTO, ANA LOCKING, ANDRÉS SARDÁ, ÁNGEL SCHLESSER, DEVOTA & LOMBA, DUYOS, FRANCIS MONTESINOS, HANNÍBAL LAGUNA, ION FIZ, JORGE VÁZQUEZ, JUANA MARTÍN, JUAN OLIVA, MARÍA KE FISHERMAN, MARÍA ESCOTÉ, MAYA HANSEN, MIGUEL MARINERO , MOISÉS NIETO, ROBERTO TORRETTA, TERESA HELBIG and ULISES MÉRIDA.

With the arrival of Charo Izquierdo to the management of MBFWM, the fashion shows begin a new stage in which it seeks to strengthen its leadership as the best Spanish design platform and consolidate its position as one of the fashion references in the global field. In its desire for innovation, Fashion Week Madrid incorporates one of the current booming trends: 'See now, buy now', with the return of Roberto Verino to the official MBFWM calendar. The Galician designer will present his collection for the season on February 16th. In addition, ACME and the fashion show’s organization are also working to offer the designers participating in the 65th edition of the fashion week to be present in Designers'rooms, the first Made in Spain designer’s marketplace, with the pre-sale of their runway collections.

Another of the new features exposed during the presentation of the next edition is the return of MBFWM's Fashion Committee, which will resume its activity as an advisory body of the main Spanish fashion platform. The Committee will be composed of a group of experts in fashion, design and new trends, will have advisory functions in different areas of management of fashion week and will be chaired by Leonor Pérez Pita, founder and main responsible of the fashion week in Madrid since Its creation more than three decades ago.

Madrid will once again become in February one of the great capitals of the fashion universe and global design, and will maintain, as in recent years, its doors open to the city with the celebration of various activities such as those to be included in the programs of Madrid es Moda, the urban fashion festival organized by ACME.
