ADYMO awards Ion Fiz and Pepa Bueno

ADYMO, the Association of Design and Fashion of Asturias, has celebrated the delivery of its annual awards at the Hotel Reconquista in Oviedo. In this edition the organization wished to award the Director of ACME, Pepa Bueno, designer Ion Fiz, and Asturian Abraham Menéndez, creator of the brand Abe the Ape.

ION FIZ, who is currently celebrating the 15th anniversary of his signature label, receives the Designer of the Year Award. The Basque creator has recently presented his collection at MBFWM, a proposal in which he has collaborated with of the organization Lal La Buya, a clothing workshop in Melilla that provides work to women at risk of exclusion. This year has also seen the light of his collaboration with McDonald's for the renovation of the restaurant uniforms that this global catering giant has in Spain. Another example of his tireless creativity, which has earned him the recognition of the Asturian Association.

The work of our Executive Director at the head of the Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España has also been acknowledged in the category of Fashion Communication Award. "One of ACME's biggest daily efforts is to defend and broadcast Spanish fashion culture, both in Spain and abroad," she said in her thank you speech. Since her arrival in the Association in 2013, Pepa Bueno has sponsored projects such as the Made in Spain exhibitions held every year at the Spanish Embassy in Paris, and the creation of the urban fashion festival Madrid es Moda, which every season brings to the street the best of Spanish design coinciding with MBFWM.
