The Asociación Creadores de Moda de España, in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food of the Government of Spain, have offered exclusively a show cooking by Spanish chef Javi Estévez, recognized with a Michelin Star, to inaugurate “Made in Spain: la mode au-delà des frontières” in the Ambassador of Spain’s Residence in Paris. A wonderful collaboration between two creative industries such as fashion and gastronomy, the latter supported by the quality of Foods from Spain.
The chef performed a tasting where fashion plays a very special role, as it culminates a private visit to the Spanish fashion designers’ exhibit "Made in Spain: the mode au-delà des frontières". This unity of vanguard and tradition, haute cuisine and fashion, highlights the ability of Spanish design to generate synergies with other sectors.
The Asociación Creadores de Moda de España (ACME) and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food collaborate in joint projects to promote Brand Spain since 2016. The Foods from Spain logo is a design by fashion brand Davidelfin, thanks to a contest held between all ACME associated brands to update said seal, which distinguishes the best agri-food products in our country.
Aditionally, in Javi Estevez’s show cooking, the olive oils awarded the Foods from Spain prize in 2018 had a very special presence, since each year the best Extra Virgin olive oils from our country are packed in bottles designed by Teresa Helbig. The Catalan creator, whose creations are distinguished by craftsmanship and a taste for detail, devised a design inspired by the embroidery of the Holy Week Virgen’s mantillas to decorate these bottles. These exclusive designs were chosen by a jury of experts from among all the proposals presented by the ACME designers, who are very actively involved in the projects promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.
