FAME joins the Alliance for Professional Training, an initiative promoted by the Ministry of Education and Professional Training (MEFP) to consolidate the process of modernization of Professional Training. FAME becomes thus the Alliance’s main actor in the fashion sector, working together with the MEFP towards setting up training of excellence aimed at current and future professionals in the fashion industry, one of the most important and representative in Spain.
FAME’s first mission is to create the training and professionalization route currently required in the fashion sector, which is constantly changing and adapting regarding sustainability, innovation, recovery of the crafts and excellence of the trade. The Foundation thus becomes a voice and an active collaborator of the Ministry of Education and Professional Training to identify new profiles or to update the training offers specialized in fashion, among many other purposes.
FAME (Fundación Academia de la Moda Española) is a non-profit organization created to promote local and global recognition of Spanish fashion by encouraging its sustainability as well as its environmental and social responsibility, while promoting the recovery of traditional trades and respect for the crafts and boosting the digitization of creative processes by combining research, development, innovation and tradition (R+D+i+T).
FAME was presented in May 2022 and is promoted mainly by ACME, its objective is also to ensure the future development of the fashion sector by acting as a catalyst in achieving a new pact for Spanish fashion based on collaboration and cooperation, both intra-sectorial and inter-sectorial. During this first phase, FAME has focused its efforts on adding companies and entities to its team, which makes it possible to launch all their exciting projects, training being one of their fundamental pillars.
