The Asturian-Leonese fashion designer María Lafuente has been present in Paris, not as an athlete, of course, but through her designs. On this occasion, she has dressed up the staircase of María Lafuente,, the venue for the Spanish Olympic family in the City of Light, with color and joy, and has made Spain shine with a magnificent garden of sustainable flowers in the Spanish flag's colors.
For this project, Lafuente has recreated a flower garden using the Spanish Olympic Committee's, COE, reused tarpaulins, following her commitment to sustainability and circular economy, giving new life to the materials while bringing out of all of them the unexpected beauty harbored within them, and that only she knows how to find.
King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia have been some of the COE's illustrious guests at Casa de España in Paris, the headquarters, so to speak, of the Spanish Olympic family in the City of Light during the Olympic Games. Casa España is a workplace designed to reflect Spain's identity and cultural heritage, showcased in its decoration, music and gastronomy as prevailing and integrating elements, and providing a festive and celebratory atmosphere where sport is truly the protagonist these days.
