Madrid Fashion Week presented the schedule for the forthcoming edition, which will take place from September 13th to 21st, at Forbes House. The event combines the tenth anniversary of Madrid es Moda, with Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, which commemorates forty years of history, under the umbrella of Madrid Capital de Moda.
During the presentation, Modesto Lomba, President of the Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España (ACME), highlighted the transformative role of Madrid es Moda since its creation in 2015: "This initiative pioneered bringing Spanish designer fashion to the streets, transforming the center of Madrid and its cultural heritage into a grand runway. In this edition, emblematic locations such as the Plaza de Oriente Gardens and the steps of the Archaeological Museum will be transformed into a stage."
On September 13th, Madrid es Moda will begin its program with an inaugural fashion show in the Plaza de Oriente Gardens. For four days, designers and fashion schools will occupy museums, plazas, and historic spaces with fashion shows, performances, and activities open to the public. Then, from September 17th to 21st, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid will celebrate its 40th anniversary with a new programming format featuring Spring-Summer 2026 collections.
Pepa Bueno, Executive Director of ACME and Institutional Director of Madrid es Moda, points out that the path taken last decade has marked the future: “Placing the values of Spanish fashion at the forefront, and uniting them with the capital's iconic spaces is now not an exception, but the rule. Over the next decade, we must work to make Madrid Fashion Week a relevant milestone in the international fashion calendar.”
