13 September 2025 - Madrid es Moda

A catwalk that embraces the city

The tenth edition of Madrid es Moda kicked off with a gesture that clearly embodies its essence: a collective fashion show at the Plaza de Oriente Gardens, in front of the Royal Palace and the Teatro Real. Under the sunset's hues, more than twenty fashion brands shared the stage in a set that transformed the city's historic heart into a catwalk, thus highlighting the strength of Spanish author fashion.

The inaugural event was conceived as a collective tribute to those who sustain this crafted trade: designers, seamstresses, pattern makers, and artisans, but also to the attending audience, and to Madrid, a city that welcomes and mingles talent from all over Spain. Ten years after its first edition, the initiative promoted by ACME confirms its commitment to bringing fashion to the streets by transforming this activity into a cultural experience.

More than twenty Spanish designers participated in this opening, reflecting the diversity of author fashion, including: Devota & Lomba, Duyos, Maison Mesa, María Lafuente, The Extreme Collection, E.R.A.X., Roberto Torretta, Daniel Chong, Johanna Calderón, Oteyza, Roberto Verino, WE ARE SPASTOR, Dominnico, Ernesto Naranjo, ManéMané, and García Madrid among others.

The fashion proposals showcased the creative diversity of Spanish designers in a space steeped with symbolism, where history coexists with a contemporary vision of dressing. Diverse silhouettes, fine fabrics, and a broad color palette created a textile landscape that dialogues with the surrounding monumental architecture. The atmosphere, marked by the contrast between tradition and modernity, reinforced Madrid es Moda's commitment to placing fashion at the center of urban life.

This inaugural show kicks off a calendar that will tour museums, cloisters, palaces, and cultural spaces in the capital city. A celebration that reaffirms Madrid es Moda as a pioneering and essential platform for Spanish author fashion.
