The classic of the classics could not miss out. The window dressing competition in the novel category, with the students of some of the most important fashion schools in Spain, is one of the activities that created for Madrid es Moda. In all its editions, the future new fashion designers compete for the first prize. For this, they have the garments and the supervision of some of the best Spanish creators since many of them are also teachers in these centres. Madrid Fashion Capital, platform of the Madrid City Council, Reale Seguros, Marcelo Vilá and El Corte Inglés sponsor this competition already in its sixth edition.
On this occasion, the students of IED and of the Superior Centre of Design and Fashion of Madrid (CSDMM) participate. Both centres showcase the window dressing skills of their students at the mall Moda Shopping and at the Cement Design store.
Duarte’s pieces are the protagonists of the work presented by IED students in Moda Shopping. Additionally, the students will also soon have their end-of-course event that will consist of a fashion show presenting graduate student’s new fashion proposals. It will be held at the Palacio de Altamira on July 11th and you may attend as a guest by registering here.
In the same space, CSDMM students have created another shop window in which they showcase their work for the competition with one of Ana Locking's designs.
And one last proposal from CSDMM, a look from signature label Devota & Lomba exhibited in the shop window of the Cement Design showroom.
The die is cast! In a few days we will know the names of the students who won the prize in the novel category of the VI edition of the MeM window dressing competition. The award ceremony will be held on July 15th at the Hotel Iberostar Las Letras
