The second edition of the exhibit Made in Spain was held. For yet another year the event brought together at the Residence of the Ambassador of Spain in Paris numerous personae from the world of fashion and culture. Over 400 individuals visited the exhibition from the 15th to the 16th of April.
The inauguration of the event yesterday afternoon was presided over by Mr. Ramon de Miguel, the Spanish Ambassador in France, who welcomed guests along with the designers Modesto Lomba, Nuria Sardá, Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, Manuel García and ACME Director, Pepa Bueno.
The Deputy Managing Director for the Promotion of Fine Arts, Begoña Torres, was present at the inauguration, showing the support of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports in the creation of fashion, one of the major cultural industries in the country and an important sector for Marca España.
The Director of the Galliera Museum, Olivier Saillard; model Violeta Sánchez; critic and fashion blogger Diane Pernet; the President of the Loewe Foundation, Sheila Loewe and fashion historian Miren Arzalluz, among others, attended the Spanish fashion event in the French capital, as did Jorge Roll and Pepa Olmedo, from Meliá Hotels International, partner company of the event.
Journalists from specialized fashion media such as Elle, Biba, Madame Figaro, Nouvel Observateur, Paris Match and France TV; key buying agents from Le Bon Marché, Galleries Lafayette and Le New Black; representatives of the Fédération Française de la Couture and the trade shows Who's Next and Première Classe, visited the exhibit in order to get a glimpse of the fall / winter 2015-2016 season proposed by 34 Spanish creators in an emblematic background in which the latest fashion mixed with Goya’s majestic tapestries and the outstanding pieces of art that decorate the premises of the Embassy of Spain in Paris.
