Madrid Fusion takes off and in the Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España we celebrate it by joining the Gastrofestival for yet another year with a special window shop in our headquarters, located in the madrileño Barrio de las Letras (Calle León, 24).
Oil bottles designed by Teresa Helbig and the new Food from Spain logo, made by Davidelfin, are the protagonists of this window shop that brings together fashion and gastronomy.
In 2014 the Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España (ACME) signed an agreement with the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Food and Environment to contribute towards the promotion of agri-food products together with fashion design. Under this agreement, in 2016 a competition was convened between the ACME brands to design the bottles of the Best Extra Virgin Oil Awards and to redesign the Foods from Spain logo.
Davidelfin was the designer chosen to update the image of the brand Food from Spain, which is used to identify the products of the various promotional activities of Spanish foods carried out by the Ministry within and outside our country, as well as to distinguish the Food from Spain awards in all the categories. His unmistakable calligraphy, made with the left hand, gives an avant-garde touch to this logo that appears as a hashtag HT, dyed with the colours of the national flag. A skillful and very visual way of linking our gastronomy with the world of social networks.
Teresa Helbig is responsible for dressing up the bottles that store the best oils of our country. The Catalan designer draws inspiration from the tradition of Holy Week imagery and the handmade embroidery of the virgin robes to dress the best Extra Virgin of our country. A brilliant idea that also links perfectly with the meticulousness, care and detail that characterizes the couture work of atelier Helbig.
