Gran Canaria Swim Week presents the 2025 edition at the Iberia Express hangar in Madrid. The event brought together institutions, media, and the designers who will participate in the next edition, scheduled for October 22nd, 2025.
The event, dedicated exclusively to swimwear, has established itself as the leading catwalk of its kind in Europe. Organized by the Gran Canaria Island Council, it maintains a steady growth path with support from IFEMA as well as the steady presence of ACME's associated designers such as Pedro Palmas, Elena Morales, Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada, and Dolores Cortés.
The presentation took place at La Muñoza, the maintenance center for Iberia Express, the airline that has connected Gran Canaria with Madrid for more than a decade and serves as a strategic sponsor. “Connecting the island to the world also means supporting what happens there,” stated Isabel Rodríguez, the airline's commercial director.
From an institutional perspective, Minerva Alonso—a council member of the Cabildo—insisted on the specific nature of this catwalk: an event that articulates landscape, identity, and professional projection. This year's edition will open with a day of fashion shows at the Mirador de las Dunas, fostering a direct dialogue with the region.
The participation of ACME's associated firms reinforces the catwalk's vocation as a platform for grounded and ambitious design.
