José Castro graduated from the prestigious London Royal College of Art and is a member of the French Federation of Couture, being the third Spanish name to hold this title along with Paco Rabanne and Balenciaga. He collaborated with Alexander McQueen for Givenchy, was artistic director for Miró Jeans and one of the designers for Desigual. In 2004 he created his own studio, with headquarters in Barcelona.
The Galician creator has shown his collections at Fashion Weeks in Paris and at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid. His work has earned him several recognitions such as the Royal College of Art Society Prize for Innovation, Creativity and Presentation, and the Novel Designer award for Marie Claire.
