Lola Casademunt by Maite designs the new uniformity for the Reina Sofía National Museum Art Center

A unique collaboration between the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía (MNCARS) and the Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España (ACME) will allow the museum's hall security guards to debut new uniforms from 2025 designed by the fashion brand LOLA CASADEMUNT BY MAITE.

This wardrobe change is the result of a competition organized by ACME among its creators and associated firms in which the proposal from the renowned Barcelona brand was chosen. “At the Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España we have been organizing uniformity competitions for a range of institutions, from the British School of Madrid to the National Orchestra and Choir of Spain (OCNE). We are very aware that uniformity is the face of the company and is a central and vital element of communication & branding strategies,” comments Pepa Bueno, executive director of ACME.

Inspired by the Japanese style, the unisex collection designed for the staff consists of a black padded coat with an ornament on the neck that simulates a scarf, a jacket with organic folds as if it were origami, a T-shirt with the corporate logo in white, culotte-cut pants and sneakers made of eco-leather. All accompanied by a logo scarf in two-tone satin. It is an ode to traditional craftsmanship that, mixed with the most avant-garde trends, make up comfortable, versatile and sophisticated uniforms.

Manuel Segade, director of the Reina Sofía National Art Center Museum, highly valued the winning design “its ability to adapt to all body types, generating at the same time an interesting volume and a singular silhouette that will be very well perceived in the halls. The jacket and coat are pieces of distinguished elegance with an Asian touch and an urban accent, very suitable for a contemporary art museum.”

“Our proposal is an expression of the symbiosis between art and fashion. Two disciplines that are combined perfectly through these garments in which elegance and sobriety stand out,” explains Maite Casademunt, creative director of LOLA CASADEMUNT BY MAITE.
