Lutz Huelle has been appointed as the new creative director of Spanish prêt-à-couture brand Delpozo. The German designer replaces Josep Font at the creative helm of the house founded by Jesús del Pozo in 1974.
A former student of Central Saint Martin's College, Huelle worked at Martin Margiela before launching his own brand in 2000. He has been a consultant in several brands including Max Mara and Brioni; and he has won the prestigious ANDAM prize in Paris twice.
Heulle arrives at Delpozo with the mission of expanding the daywear range of the fashion brand to create a more complete wardrobe. "I've always loved Delpozo for its unique style and positioning, and I am proud and excited to be part of this new chapter of the history of the house,” declares the German designer.
Pedro Trólez, President and owner of Delpozo, is very happy with the incorporation of Heulle. "He has a long experience in the industry and great energy. He will be key to the success of the brand and I look forward to seeing his first collection. "
Lutz Huelle will supervise the fall / winter 2019 collection, which will be presented by appointment at London Fashion Week. His first complete collection for Delpozo will be the spring / summer season 2020, which will be presented in September 2019.
Grupo Perfumes y Diseño, the company that holds Delpozo’s perfume license since 1992, owns the fashion brand after the demise of Jesús del Pozo. Known for its ethereal and timeless aesthetics, the fashion brand Delpozo combines artisanal sewing techniques with a modern sensibility to create unique and feminine pieces. After showing for ten seasons in New York, Delpozo presents its collections at London Fashion Week. The brand is available in more than 80 points of sale worldwide and has three flagships in Madrid, London and Dubai, as well as shop in shops in Moscow, Seoul and Busan.[:]
