MADRID ES MODA is back!

The Urban Fashion Festival MADRID ES MODA (MeM), organized by the  Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España (ACME), presents the program of its Vth  edition, which will take place from 11th to 19th  of September.

Design is the central axis of the program of MADRID ES MODA. For this reason, each edition has a new graphic identity created by an ACME designer. The image of the Vth edition has been designed by OLGA MENCHÉN, Creative Director of MENCHÉN TOMÀS, a suggestive and artistic design that represents ideally the values and aims of the Festival.

MeM aims to 'dress-up' the capital during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid with exhibitions, special window shops, routes through museums and bookstores, meetings, shopping ... All featuring fashion and Spanish creation. These are the keys to the Vth edition:

MADRID IS SUSTAINABLE FASHION

THE CIRCULAR PROJECT leads a meeting at BPM Eugenio Trías where the global platform Slow Fashion World will be presented and different workshops will be held with sustainability as leitmotiv.

RUNWAY MADRID ES MODA

The Festival hosts for the first time in its program two fashion shows, such as those by MARÍA LAFUENTE in the streets of the Latin Quarter, and the presentation of the collections by young designers of ESNE (University School of Design, Innovation and Technology) in the main platform of the Railway Museum.

FASHION IN THE MUSEUMS

The Thyssen Museum, the Lázaro Galdiano Museum, the Madrid History Museum, the National Museum of Decorative Arts, the Museo del Traje, the Sorolla and the Romanticism, offer guided tours through temporary exhibitions or their permanent collections with fashion as the main protagonist.

WINDOW SHOP COMPETITION

Established designers and students of design, brands and boutiques opt for the prizes in our  IInd Window Shop Competition. A competition that underlines the relevance of the fashionable exhibit space par excellence.
