Madrid es Moda returns from July 5th to July 15th

The Urban Fashion Festival MADRID ES MODA (MeM) presents its VIIth edition, which will take place from July 5th to 15th, 2018. MeM aims to 'dress up' the capital during Fashion Week through exhibitions, special window shops and routes through museums, meetings, shopping ... All with Spanish design and creation as protagonists.

Design is the central axis of the MADRID ES FASHION program. Therefore, each edition has a new graphic identity created by an ACME designer. The image of the VIIth edition has been designed by GARCÍA MADRID. The creator aimed to capture in the image the signs of identity of his signature label choosing white and blue as protagonists, two essential colours in his creative universe. The contrast appears with the colour red chosen by the designer as a "wink" to the flag of Madrid, the city that gives its name to the Festival and the setting of all its activities.

García Madrid is the menswear brand founded in 2006 by designer Manuel García. His collections unite the tradition of classic tailoring with the most current design, betting on responsible production located exclusively in countries of the European Union. The creative universe of his signature label begins to expand to other areas, being the winner of the contest to redesign the merchandising products of the National Ballet of Spain. In 2016 he received the National Fashion Award and a year later he debuts at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid.

This VIIth edition of MADRID ES MODA will once again enjoy the support of the Community of Madrid, Madrid City Council, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid and Madrid Fashion Capital. The activities that have been held in other editions will be carried out again, such as the Window Shop Contest, both in the professional category and in the new category, in which the mannequin label MARCELO VILÁ will collaborate; Gastrofashion actions, with gastronomic activities within the program of Madrid es Moda; actions with New Creators, through activities and exhibits from students from different schools; exhibitions and museums, with routes and guided tours in which the main theme is fashion, and finally, actions where sustainable fashion is the main protagonist.[:]
