Oteyza designs the uniformity for the Spanish Pavillion at Expo Osaka 2025

Oteyza has been chosen to create the uniforms of the customer service staff at the Spanish Pavilion at Osaka World Expo, which will be held from April 13th to October 13th, 2025, under the theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives.”

In a call sponsored by Acción Cultural Española (AC/E), developed jointly with the Asociación Creadores de Moda de España (ACME), Oteyza won with their proposal titled “Miradas.” Their designs integrate criteria of functionality, aesthetics, and sustainability through the use of natural fibers and circular fabrics.

The uniform is inspired by the sun and ocean currents and showcases a color palette of sky blue, off-white, and flame yellow, elements in dialogue with the Spanish Pavilion's motto, “The Kuroshio Current.”

According to Pepa Bueno, executive director of ACME, the quality of the proposals presented was very high. In her opinion, Oteyza “has been able to respond to all these functional constraints while giving the uniforms an aesthetic identity that connects with Spanish culture and identity.” Paul García de Oteyza, on the other hand, stated that “it is a true privilege to be able to contribute Oteyza's vision to the wonderful Spanish Pavilion project… we have always been drawn to Japanese culture and art and to the strong connection… with our culture.”

With this assignment, Oteyza expands its international sphere of influence and reaffirms its commitment to a fashion that blends creativity, cultural identity, and environmental responsibility.
