The signature label Pilar Dalbat, presented at the Museum of Fine Arts, Granada, which is located within the Palace of Carlos V of the Alhambra, her collection “The Breach Winter 2019”. It is the first time that a fashion show is held within this monumental complex.
The proposal of Pilar Torrecillas, Creative Director of the fashion brand from Granada, has inspired her collection in artist José Guerrero’s “The Breach”. The design, pattern and artisan techniques used showcase the personal interpretation made by the designer of this work of art. As an example, we find pieces that have been deconstructed and united through spinning techniques or garments in which the breach itself is drawn through graphic combinations of colours.
For the staging of the fashion show, Pilar Dalbat enjoyed the special participation of 20 women who have a close relationship with the fashion brand and who wanted to show this collection’s designs themselves. Among them, singer Roko, athlete Alhambra Nievas, influencer Ana Sáez, dancers Paula and Sara Cabello and professional basketball player Laura Arrojo.
Designer Pilar Torrecillas is deeply committed to her hometown. From Granada, she creates and distributes her collections locally and globally with a clear commitment to Made in Spain. Additionally, it is in the Andalusian city where she has her own store. Outside Spain, her creations have also travelled through important points of sale in Tokyo, Dubai or Saudi Arabia.
