Madrid Capital de Moda Award

Madrid City Council’s Government Area of ​​Economy, Innovation and Employment, together with ACME, launches the call for the first edition of the Madrid Capital de Moda Award. This award arises to empower and promote the author fashion sector, actively contributing to the promotion of specialized training as well as improving the business projections of fashion creators.

Fashion comprises one of the leading attractions and economical engines of the Spanish capital city. This sector provides added value to the image of Madrid, which is acknowledged as one of the most dynamic and active cities in Spain regarding fashion design.

The award, endowed with 60,000€, is aimed at promoting specialized training and improving the business projection of fashion designers, specifically those who have participated in any of the following editions of Madrid Fashion Week: July 2019, January 2020.

The following initiatives to be valued for the Award include developments related to:

– Internationalization.

– Sustainability.

– Circular economy.

– Technological innovation.

– Recovery and enhancement of artisan crafts.

Additionally, the winning fashion business and creative development project must include in its content the accompaniment and tutoring of a final year student, or recent graduate in the last year in disciplines related to the fashion sector, who will collaborate with the designer in the implementation of the presented project.

The deadline for submitting the proposal begins on Thursday, October 8th and ends on Friday, November 6th. Projects may be submitted online by entering here to apply for participation.
