Tíscar Espadas is the winner of the Vogue Fashion Fund 2024, one of the biggest fashion awards held in Spain organised by Vogue Spain in collaboration with Inditex. The jury's verdict was announced last night at the Hotel Casa de las Artes Meliá Collection in Madrid at an event that brought together numerous designers, models and key names in the fashion industry.
Tíscar received the award with emotion, and in her gratitude speech she wished to remember all the people who have supported her over the years. An important recognition that comes with a gross grant of 100,000 euros, editorial support in Vogue Spain and direct access to join ACME; the latter due to an agreement signed by the magazine and the Association in 2014. The fashion designer thus becomes a new partner of the Association, sharing projects, opportunities and goals with the most prominent designer fashion brands in Spain.
“Tíscar is a designer who has created her own universe of enormous poetic value. For her, fashion is a powerful and transformative vehicle of expression. Without a doubt, her entry into ACME greatly enriches the group,” adds Pepa Bueno, executive director of ACME.
The other two finalist designers of this edition have been Ernesto Naranjo and Edward Cuming. Their fashion proposals were also valued and studied by the jury, chaired on this occasion by Wes Gordon, creative director of Carolina Herrera New York, and made-up by Inés Lorenzo, Head of Content of Vogue Spain; Sara Hernando, head of fashion of Vogue Spain; Pepa Salazar, designer and winner of VFF 2023; Raúl Martínez, global creative director of Vogue; Pepa Bueno, executive director of ACME; Cristina Hermo and Iria Folla-Cisneros, members of the Department of Communication and Institutional Relations of Inditex; Eloy Martínez de la Pera, curator of art and fashion exhibitions; Alicia Padrón, stylist and creative consultant; Lily Fofana, model, and Pablo Zamora, photographer.
