Traveling and ironic proposals on the MBFWM runway

GARCÍA MADRID premieres on the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid runway confirming it is one of the leading men's fashion signature brands in our country. His collection for next spring-summer 2018, the brand’s 23rd, proposes a review of classic tailoring through a colouring that runs away from conventions and offers renewed ways to dress up men with elegance, comfort and a touch of irony.

AILANTO takes again art and nature as a source of inspiration. The prints by the Muñoz brothers for the spring-summer season 2018 recreate the work of American painter Jessie Arms Botke. Exotic birds and lush florals decorate a collection full of details. Pleats, folds and bellows are made in a wide range of fabrics including silk crepe, lace and velvet.

For ANA LOCKING, during times of social upheaval, some preach what others want to believe. This is the starting point of "Preachers and Believers", a collection loaded with irony. The designer of La Mancha’s preachers dress up in formal fashion with tailor suits and solemn silhouettes in blue, white and gold. Complex patterns, cuts, sets of prints and textures, and a wide range of colors, reflect a certain chaos of believers in need of faith.

ROBERTO TORRETTA connects past, present and future in a collection of very fitted silhouettes where the midi length predominates. Draped, destructured skirts and metalized jersey fabric are the keys to an ultra-feminine and timeless proposal, in which there is no shortage of nappa leather, an essential for the Madrid brand. Torretta also invests in prints, indisputable protagonists of the evening looks.

MENCHÉN TOMÀS proposes an introspective trip. The Catalan designer shows a very sensitive collection that flows among satins, silk gauze and cotton poplin. The colors follow each other taking us into a dream of textures, patterns and overlays. Whites and blues give way to very vivid hues such as red or green in a quest for happiness and inner peace.
