The Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España added a new member with the incorporation of Ulises Mérida.
The creator from Toledo studied at the Centro Superior de Diseño de Moda de Madrid and completed his training at the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) in Milan. Ulises Mérida is a very comprehensive fashion professional also specialized in draping techniques, design of footwear and leather goods, a training he received in specialized centres in Madrid and Copenhagen.
After stages through the ateliers of relevant names in national fashion such as Jesus del Pozo, where he carried the charge of designer of the collections; Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, where he served as Director of Design, and Roberto Torretta, for whom he worked as a draper, he founded his own label in 2013. Since September 2014 he has presented his collections during the official schedule of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid. His creations are available in multi-brand stores in cities such as Madrid, Zaragoza, Oviedo and Zamora, besides in his atelier Siluro Concept, located in Madrid's Barrio de las Letras.
Committed to the training of the future professionals of the sector, he combines his work as a designer with teaching at the European University of Madrid, and at the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) in Madrid.
