WORTH Partnership Project is an initiative promoted by the European Commission and developed by an international consortium of partners, made up partly by IED Network through IED REC Research and Education Center. IED is one of the Spanish colleges with which ACME collaborates and among its teaching staff are some of its associated designers.
This project was created to support innovative ideas among fashion and lifestyle industries, including fabrics, footwear, leather and fur, furniture and home decoration, jewellery and accessories. Its objective is to encourage collaboration between designers, manufacturers, technology companies and start-ups across Europe to develop prototypes and, after a period of training and networking, launch them and position them in the market.
Backed by the European Union, WORTH provides designers, SMEs, artisans and technology companies with a platform to develop creative concepts as well as the opportunity to form a global association within the framework of the European Union and COSME.
Over the next 3 years, this initiative will select 150 projects from different areas such as footwear design, furniture, fashion, accessories, communication or strategic management, guided by its desire to support new, innovative designs, with an added value that clearly lies in the essence of design, by integrating disruptive techniques in a creative way.
The selected projects will receive financing, advice, market positioning, networking and presence in global sectorial trade shows.
The second call for this initiative ends on October 24th, 2018. You may participate and register here.[:]
