The Urban Fashion Festival MADRID ES MODA<\/a> (MeM), organized by the \u00a0Asociaci\u00f3n de Creadores de Moda de Espa\u00f1a (ACME), presents the program of its Vth<\/sup> \u00a0edition, which will take place from 11th<\/sup> to 19th<\/sup> \u00a0of September.<\/p>\n

Design is the central axis of the program of MADRID ES MODA<\/a>. For this reason, each edition has a new graphic identity created by an ACME designer. The image of the Vth<\/sup> edition has been designed by OLGA MENCH\u00c9N, Creative Director of MENCH\u00c9N TOM\u00c0S, a suggestive and artistic design that represents ideally the values \u200b\u200band aims of the Festival.<\/p>\n

MeM aims to ‘dress-up<\/a>‘ the capital during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid<\/a> with exhibitions, special window shops, routes through museums and bookstores, meetings, shopping … All featuring fashion and Spanish creation. These are the keys to the Vth<\/sup> edition:<\/p>\n

MADRID IS SUSTAINABLE FASHION<\/p>\n

THE CIRCULAR PROJECT leads a meeting at BPM Eugenio Tr\u00edas where the global platform Slow Fashion World will be presented and different workshops will be held with sustainability as leitmotiv.<\/p>\n

RUNWAY MADRID ES MODA<\/p>\n

The Festival hosts for the first time in its program two fashion shows, such as those by MAR\u00cdA LAFUENTE<\/a> in the streets of the Latin Quarter, and the presentation of the collections by young designers of ESNE <\/a>(University School of Design, Innovation and Technology) in the main platform of the Railway Museum.<\/p>\n

FASHION IN THE MUSEUMS<\/p>\n

The Thyssen Museum<\/a>, the L\u00e1zaro Galdiano Museum<\/a>, the Madrid History Museum<\/a>, the National Museum of Decorative Arts<\/a>, the Museo del Traje<\/a>, the Sorolla<\/a> and the Romanticism<\/a>, offer guided tours through temporary exhibitions or their permanent collections with fashion as the main protagonist.<\/p>\n

WINDOW SHOP COMPETITION<\/p>\n

Established designers and students of design, brands and boutiques opt for the prizes in our \u00a0IInd<\/sup> Window Shop <\/a>Competition. A competition that underlines the relevance of the fashionable exhibit space par excellence.<\/p>\n
