After the success of the first edition, the Madrid Capital de la Moda Award <\/strong><\/a>returns, being one of Madrid City Council’s great bets to promote the fashion industry in the capital city. This initiative, which once again has ACME\u2019S support, is encased in the Strategic Plan of Subsidies 2020-2022 of the Council\u2019s Government Area of \u200b\u200bEconomy, Innovation and Employment, and aims to support the fashion designers\u2019 business projection as well as highlighting the specialized and quality training required in the fashion sector.<\/p>\n

Author’s fashion is a fundamental sector, not only for the city’s economy, but also an added value that helps position Madrid as one of the fashion capitals at an international level thanks to the high activity of the main players in this field, which enhances the city\u2019s projection throughout the world. One of the fundamental actors in Spanish fashion is the Asociaci\u00f3n de Creadores de Moda de Espa\u00f1a, which in this second edition of the award is once again collaborating actively with Madrid\u2019s City Council for the implementation and development of this award, which aims to grant recognition to the creative and business development projects presented by renowned designers.<\/p>\n

The main requirement to participate in this call is to have participated in Madrid Fashion Week by presenting your proposals in person or digitally at the MBFWM<\/a> edition held in September 2020 and \/ or at the Madrid es Moda<\/a> event at anyone of their sites held in September 2020.<\/p>\n

All those who wish to participate in this new edition will have to present both a creative and a business project, which is carried out, for the most part, in the municipality of Madrid, and which includes in its content, both the tutoring of a last year, or recently graduated, student that will contribute towards the development and implementation of the project. Given the important role that Spanish Slow Fashion<\/a> plays at the international level, some of the most important criteria that the jury will take into account when evaluating the projects presented will be sustainability, the recovery of handicrafts and internationalization<\/strong>. The new winner will receive \u20ac60,000 that must be allocated to the realization of the winning project.<\/p>\n
