Gran Canaria Moda C\u00e1lida<\/a>, an ACME associated entity, participates in Berlin Fashion Week<\/a>. The grancanaria platform, dependent on the island\u2019s Council, takes another step forward on its path towards internationalization by brining together tourism, fashion and gastronomy with the organization of the event Experience Gran Canaria.<\/p>\n

Berlin Fashion Week<\/a> is the most important initiative in the fashion sector in Germany, promoted by the Government, Berlin City Council and Fashion Council Germany<\/a>. Berlin fashion week hosted in its inaugural batch a very special Gran Canaria Moda C\u00e1lida<\/a> event. Held in the Von Greifswald building, it enjoyed the attendance of journalists from fashion media such as Vogue, Elle, GQ, Cosmopolitan and Glamour; mainstream media such as Der Spiegel or Stern, as well as German influencers, businessmen from the tourism sector and the fashion industry, the country\u2019s political representatives, the Spanish ambassador in Germany, German designers and representatives of fashion organizations from countries such as Norway, Great Britain, Sweden or Italy. All of them were able to live an authentic immersive experience in the climate, landscapes and fashion of Gran Canaria.<\/p>\n

Attendees were able to taste a menu prepared with more than twenty products from the island. Through a large installation with natural elements such as sand, plants and water, the attendees were able to discover in this experience the creations of fashion firms Aurelia Gil<\/a>, Maldito Sweet<\/a>, Nuria Gonz\u00e1lez<\/a>, Como la Trucha al Trucho<\/a>, Chela Clo<\/a>, Elena Morales <\/a>and Pedro Palmas<\/a>. This event also featured the screening of a fashion film made in Gran Canaria that has brought together the island\u2019s creators and German designers. The photos taken during the recording have also been included in a book that was given as a gift to each of the guests at this unique experience.<\/p>\n

Internationalize Moda C\u00e1lida<\/strong><\/p>\n

Due to Moda C\u00e1lida’s participation in Berlin Fashion Week<\/a>, the Gran Canaria Chamber of Commerce organized a trade mission with the ultimate goal of establishing meetings between designers from Gran Canaria and potential buyers from the German market.<\/p>\n

Additionally, within the framework of the program, the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Crafts, Minerva Alonso, held meetings with the fashion councils of Belgium and Denmark<\/a>, within the international expansion policy of Gran Canaria Swimwear Fashion Week, with the objective of “opening a framework of cooperation to exchange experiences, objectives, work and publicize our catwalk”, as the councillor herself explained.<\/p>\n
