Between the shadow and the flower

Firm Diazar, under the creative direction of Jonathan Díaz, presented the LAUREAE – Swimwear Collection 2026 at Gran Canaria Swim Week by Moda Cálida. The collection reaffirms the creative maturity of the brand based in La Palma, which has maintained a consistent presence at Europe's leading swimwear fashion runway since 2018. With this collection, Diazar Atelier renews its commitment to the island's identity and contemporary textile experimentation.

Inspired by the Canary Island laurel forest, LAUREAE delves into a symbolic woodland where vegetation becomes a metaphor for protection and memory. The pieces—enveloping, structured, and possessing a restrained sensuality—evoke the organic growth of nature. Corsets reinterpreted for summer, swimsuits, and trikinis are interwoven with convertible overgarments and ready-to-wear pieces, tracing a path between intimacy and everyday life.

The colors draw from the density of the laurel forest: lava black, mineral green, bark brown, flower white, and golden flashes that emerge from the shadows, with native fuchsia as a vibrant burst. The materials—recycled leather, organic fabrics, and sustainable lycra—provide texture and ethical coherence. The collection is completed with designer jewelry and accessories crafted by artisans from La Palma, sculptural pieces that reinforce the dialogue between tradition and innovation.

With LAUREAE, Diazar Atelier celebrates a stage of maturity and continuity, affirming that deep roots can also rise out onto the world.
