Be inspired by the Community of Madrid

The Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España (ACME) joins the General Directorate of Tourism of the Community of Madrid to turn four leading fashion designers into luxury prescribers of the Community’s tourist attractions due to the celebration of the urban fashion festival Madrid es Moda.

After an intense week of fashion shows and events; what places inspire them, where do they go to disconnect after showing their collections, where to lose themselves and regain strength ... Juan Duyos, Cósima Ramírez, Roberto Verino and Juanjo Oliva identify with four enclaves of the Community of Madrid declared World Heritage by UNESCO: the Monastery and the Royal Site of San Lorenzo de El Escorial, the University and the historic centre of Alcalá de Henares, the Cultural Landscape of Aranjuez and the Hayedo de Montejo. Through a video campaign, and a special section in madridesmoda.com, where users are invited to discover more about the favourite places of these prominent fashion creators, while at the same time offering recommendations to visit the most inspiring corners of the Community of Madrid .

Commitment to tradition and return to the roots are a constant in the work of Juan Duyos. Touring San Lorenzo de El Escorial, the place where he grew up and where he always returns to connect with his origins, inspires the designer.

Agatha Ruiz de la Prada and her daughter Cósima Ramírez share their passion for nature and their commitment to sustainability and caring for the planet, hence the spectacular Madrid Sierra del Norte’s natural landscapes, with places like the Hayedo de Montejo, are a source of inspiration for both.

With almost forty years of experience in fashion, Roberto Verino's restless mind never stops traveling in search of places that enrich him when creating his collections. Visiting Aranjuez and soaking up its history is one of the best plans to draw inspiration.

History is felt throughout the streets of Alcalá de Henares and, for an art lover like Juanjo Oliva, strolling through this Madrid city is a perfect plan to get lost, disconnect and look for new references that inspire him in his next projects.
