The Basque designer celebrates his brand’s fifteenth anniversary with a spectacular fashion show at the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao. Numerous personalities from the world of fashion, culture and politics wished to accompany the creator on such a special night, including ACME President Modesto Lomba; the Director of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, Charo Izquierdo, and designers Miriam Ocáriz and Manuel de Gotor, among others.
The event had presenter Anne Igartiburu as honorary godmother and hostess of the ceremony, and model Helen Lindes was in charge of opening and closing the celebratory fashion show of the Basque creator.
Ion Fiz culminates with this event a very special year in his career after the creation of the new McDonald's uniforms in Spain and the presentation on the MBFWM runway of his Dahia collection, created in collaboration with the workshop Lal La Buya de Melilla, which provides work for women at risk of exclusion. In addition, on the occasion of this anniversary, the designer has launched a spectacular commemorative fashion book that has included the participation of international model Jon Kortajarena.
Ion Fiz began his career in the fashion world at a very early age. The designer from Eibar graduated with Honours at the Basque School of Fashion Design. After finishing his studies he collaborates with relevant couture houses in our country such as Pertegaz until 2002 when Ion Fiz creates his own signature label. That same year he receives the Marie Claire Prix to the best novel designer.
In 2003 he made his debut in Madrid Fashion Week, a runway where each season he shows his collections. Handbags, optics, costume jewellery and lingerie are some of the sectors in which Ion Fiz has imprinted his seal throughout his career of 15 years.
