Over 400 people attend the inauguration of Made in Spain

The exhibition Made in Spain: La Mode au delà des Frontières, opens its third edition. An event that once again gathered at the residence of Ambassador of Spain in Paris numerous personalities from the world of fashion and culture.

The opening, yesterday afternoon, was chaired by Don Ramon de Miguel, Ambassador of Spain in France, who welcomed the guests accompanied by designers Modesto Lomba, Nuria Sardá, Teresa Helbig, Menchén Thomas, Leyre Valiente, Anton Heunis, Helena Rohner, Maria Ke Fisherman, Maya Hansen, Miguel Marinero, Cosima and Tristan Ramirez, representing Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, and the Director of ACME, Pepa Bueno.

The Deputy Director General for Promotion of Fine Arts, Begoña Torres, was also present at the inauguration, showing the support of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport to the creation of fashion, one of the main cultural industries in the country and an important sector for Brand Spain.

Furthermore the event counted with the institutional support of ICEX Spain Export and Investment and the Economic and Commercial Office of the Embassy of Spain in Paris, directed by Santiago Mendióroz as well as the Community of Madrid.

Personalities such as Jose Ignacio Wert, Chief Ambassador of the Spanish delegation to the OECD in Paris, and Maria Teresa Lizaranzu, Ambassador of the Spanish delegation in Unesco, did not miss the annual date with Spanish fashion in the Parisian capital.

The fashion teams of magazines ELLE, Marie Claire, SModa, Telva and Vogue Spain, TVE program Flash Moda, specialized French media, buying agents, representatives of the Fédération Française de la Couture and of the Parisian fashion trade shows, have visited the exhibition for updates by 39 Spanish creators in an emblematic background where the latest fashion interacts with the outstanding pieces of art that decorate the premises of the Embassy of Spain in Paris, among which are the famous tapestries by Goya.

The third edition of the exhibition Made in Spain, coincides for the first time with the celebration of the fashion week in Paris. This action allows us to exhibit again a very relevant selection of national fashion in order to generate networking between our designers and leading industry players in Paris. The exhibition will be open during today and Monday March 7th at the residence of the Ambassador of Spain in Paris, located in the exclusive Avenue George V.
