Fashion and architecture are designer’s Pilar Dalbat two great passions, and so she has once again showcased this with a new fashion show held in a scenario of great heritage value. The designer from Granada has opened the doors of the Neomudéjar Hall of the Colegio Máximo de Cartuja to present in her homwtown the “Fieras” collection, her fashion proposal for spring / summer 2020 seen during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid.
Thus, this fashion show becomes the first opportunity to enjoy this emblematic hall after its restoration. True to the premise of bringing together fashion and cultural heritage in her collections, Pilar Dalbat, in collaboration with the University of Granada and the La Caixa Foundation, shows us this spectacular space that was originally the chapel of a building built in 1894 and declared a Cultural Interest Asset.
Metallic fabrics, fringes, meshes, organza, linens and taffetas are featured in the looks, which are dyed in leaf green, silver and turkey blue. Dalbat's silhouettes float over the body, but in her fashion proposals there is also room for dresses and skirts that fit at the waist and are decorated with tri-colour sequins and delicate embroidery.
