The expo "The feminine seams of Spanish fashion" opens its doors

The exhibit "The feminine seams of Spanish fashion (1930-2018)", an idea by ​​EFE Agency and the  Asociación Creadores de Moda de España (ACME), and produced jointly with the National Museum of Decorative Arts, combines photojournalism, fashion and women, through eighty photographs made over nine decades by EFE’s photographers, the number one Spanish News Agency and fourth in the world, in dialogue with garments and jewellery by twenty-seven Spanish fashion creators. Curators of the exhibit are Pepa Bueno, Executive Director of ACME, and Lourdes Álvarez Esmorís, Director of EFE Estilo, and Director of Communication and Institutional Relations at EFE.

The opening event brought together many personalities and fashion designers. The Director of the National Museum of Decorative Arts, Sofía Rodríguez Bernis, was in charge of welcoming the attendees to the inauguration, which was chaired by the General Director of Fine Arts, Román Fernández-Baca; the President of EFE Agency, Fernando Garea, and the President of the Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España (ACME), Modesto Lomba.

Begoña Gómez, wife of the Spanish Government’s President, did not want to miss this important appointment to discover 90 years of Spanish fashion through EFE’s lens, and the fashion creations of ACME’S designers. Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, Hannibal Laguna, Helena Rohner, Isabel Núñez, Marcos Luengo, Leandro Cano, Pilar Dalbat, Maya Hansen, Ulises Mérida, Miguel Marinero, Malne, Juan Duyos, representatives from fashion brands Pedro del Hierro and Fely Campo, and the Director of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, Charo Izquierdo, also did not miss the appointment.

The brand Foods from Spain, which distinguishes the best agri-food products in the country, also supported the opening of this exhibit, which is sponsored by Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid and Marcelo Vilá.

The exhibition can be visited at the National Museum of Decorative Arts from January 23rd to March 31st, 2019. This exhibit is included in the program of urban fashion festival Madrid es Moda.
