“The special window shops have been one of the pillars upon which we have built MADRID ES MODA,” explains Pepa Bueno, Executive Director of the Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España (ACME). Therefore, we got to work to create the 1st MeM Window Shop Contest. Established designers and students of design, brands and boutiques opt in this fourth edition of the Festival to the prizes of our Window Shop Contest. A contest that arises to place value on the exhibit space of fashion par excellence, and to make one of the slogans of MADRID ES MODA: We want to dress up the city become a reality.
For this, we have had the invaluable support of the Community of Madrid, the Madrid City Council and Madrid Capital de Moda, Marcelo Vilá and Las Rozas Village; and the collaboration of ModaEspaña, Acotex and Asecom, and the students of the Istituto Europeo di Design Madrid, the Superior Center of Fashion Design of Madrid, and the Postgraduates in Architecture, Design and Fashion of the Polytechnic University of Madrid.
Together we have defined two categories: Best Window Shop made by professionals linked to each participating establishment, and Best Novel Window Shop, created in collaboration with students of official centres of study of Fashion Design of Madrid.
