The relevant growth being acquired within the global tourist industry of shopping tourism has prompted FITUR, International Tourism Trade Show, to create the new area FITUR SHOPPING, in collaboration with Madrid Shopping Tour, one of the first companies in Europe specialized in this kind of tourism.
The Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España, together with the brands Agatha Ruiz de la Prada and Angel Schlesser, wished to join the initiative being one of the exhibiting companies in this first edition, promoting fashion design Made in Spain as a tourist attraction of our country.
WTO points out shopping tourism as one with the greatest growth potential in Spain. Therefore, FITUR, one of the major tourism trade shows in Spain and a leader in Latin American markets, has created a new section FITUR SHOPPING to help boost tourism shopping and to respond to this emerging sector.
FITUR SHOPPING is structured in three spaces within Hall 8 of IFEMA: an exhibition area, where one will be able to publicize offers and services; an area to host a program of seminars and lectures on the subject, promoting analysis and debate around tourism shopping, and a place where exhibitors that wish to will be able to previously arrange personal interviews with specialized travel agencies, agents and tour operators, as well as hotel chains, guides, conference organizers, global fashion brands and retail spaces.
