Ion Fiz designs the uniforms for the SUPER AMARA chain

The Basque designer Ion Fiz presents the uniforms he has created for his homeland`s supermarket gourmet chain, SUPER AMARA, within the frame of the Miramar Palace in San Sebastián, with the presence of personalities from the political sphere and Gipuzkoa fashion.

On this occasion, ACME’s creator has opted for a contemporary, chic classicism, rescuing the best of Basque "Kaiku" tradition to design fourteen models, made up of different garments, both for men and women. His characteristic style is materialized in the lapels of the jackets by applying another tone in contrast.

The shirts replace the usual shirt collar by a thin strip and have small tri-colour squares that are reminiscent of the best of British college styles, so akin to the Basque tradition of dressing with elegance without giving up casual styles. And as accessories, printed chiffon scarves creating two-tone squares, in keeping with the supermarket’s brand identity.

The designs have been elaborated without forgetting the importance of comfort and versatility that the uniforms have to achieve, choosing adaptable and easy maintenance fabrics and technical textures treated with anti wrinkle processes to facilitate the washing and care of the garments.

The uniforms have been designed in three colours that respond to the corporate identity codes of the Basque supermarket chain, white, red and black.

Solidarity bag

This collaboration, the third in the field of uniforms, after Iberdrola and MacDonalds, also has a solidarity side thanks to the bag created by the designer for SUPER AMARA in benefit of Katxalin, the Association of Women Affected by Breast and Gynecological Cancer Gipuzkoa

Ion Fiz began his career in the fashion world at a very young age. The Eibar designer graduated with honours at the Basque School of Fashion Design. After finishing his studies, he collaborated with relevant Spanish couture houses such as Pertegaz, until in 2002 he created his own signature label. That same year he received the Marie Claire Prix for the best novel designer. In October 2015 the Basque creator presents his collection for the first time in a fashion show during Paris Fashion Week and he has also shown his collections in such emblematic places as the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao.
