Spanish fashion congregates many personalities in Lisbon

The exhibit "Made in Spain: a moda espanhola para Lisboa e para o mundo” gathered at the residence of the Ambassador of Spain in Lisbon, D. Eduardo Junco, numerous personalities from the fashion industry and culture of Portugal. The designer Modesto Lomba, Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, Francis Montesinos and Miguel Marinero undertook to show personally their creations to the guests, amongst which were institutional representatives at the highest level, including ministries and diplomatic representation.

Specialized journalists from magazines such as Vogue, Elle or Time Out, attended the opening to find out the novelties for next season fall/winter 2014-2015 of 29 Spanish artists. The exhibition Made in Spain, which may be visited at the Palace Palhava in Lisbon until May 8th , takes part in the activities of the " Fashion Days " organized by the Spanish Embassy in the Portuguese capital.

In line with this initiative, the Instituto Cervantes of Lisbon (Rua de Santa Marta 43 F) hosts three roundtable debates in which different areas of fashion will be discussed: design, technique and business. These tables featured relevant professionals related to Spanish and Portuguese fashion. Modesto Lomba, Francis Montesinos, Roberto Verino, Miguel Marinero and corporate CEO Cortefiel Group, Ignacio Sierra, exchanging views with Portuguese creators such as Luis Onofre, Filipe Faísca, Nuna Gama or Ricardo Preto and different professionals of the sector.
