The “Maytakeover” begins

Another edition more, Mayte de la Iglesia, model, influencer, blogger and avowed fan of ACME, takes the reins of the Social Networks of the Association (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter) during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid. What in the sector is called a “takeover” and we call “Maytakeover”.

The objective? Live the days of the fashion shows as an infiltrator and not miss any of the collections presented. We interviewed De la Iglesia to know her a little better and allow her to tell us the news of this collaboration.

What new features and surprises do we have in this edition?

As social networks don`t stop innovating, we will make use of all these developments: instagram stories, boomerang, slow mo or fast forward videos, interviews and live broadcasts through Periscope or Facebook Life ...

Fashion shows live….

Exactly! Everything to achieve greater dynamism and to allow closer interaction with followers of Spanish fashion. Also we will go further than the fashion shows scheduled and cover some of the activities organized during MADRID ES MODA.

Where are we headed in the use of social media and fashion?

I think the way is to be able to broadcast more and better what the brands want to convey to all the profile of followers they accumulate, whether they are their consumers or not. Offer brand experiences that allow us to enjoy their creative universe, and that a brand not only excites you because you love their collection of handbags, but also because they upload some divine photos / videos on their social networks.

What do you expect of this Fashion Week?

Never expect anything from a fashion week. You should go with an open mind, batteries charged and let yourself be taken in by the proposals of the brands. If you go with preconceived ideas or expectations, one will always tends to say that this was better or that was worse ... You have to let designers express themselves.

How do you prepare for Fashion Week? Do you arrange a basic wardrobe for the week?

Above all I try to order a structured agenda and an organized home... for all to end upside down! More or less like the pic (laughs). And to have a variety of looks from the designers showing with accessories and shoes, not having to think much about what I'm going to wear each day.

Do you do any beauty treatment?

Eating well is essential. Try to rest the maximum hours, although it is impossible with so many day and night social commitments. Make the most of the driving to the shows, putting on my make-up in the car, saving time…[:]
