Moisés Nieto returns to his origins

Moisés Nieto returns to present his proposals with a formula that flees from the fashion show’s conventions. The designer from Jaen returns to the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED), his alma mater, to show a collection in which he performs an exercise of balance of his almost ten years in the profession.

Nieto looks back to examine his basic wardrobe, and he polishes it. The result is a balanced and responsible collection, in an impeccable execution of tailoring. The garments by the young designer play overlap to form complex looks. Cotton knitted bodice, pleated skirts in technical gabardine, classic double breasted jackets and merino wool overalls, make up a proposal with four main colours: red, blue, camel and black.

The accessories do the rest. Large patterned silk scarves, leather bags and patchwork quilts (made with remnants of other collections) put a vibrant edge to a proposal that invites us to reflect on inappropriate consumption of fashion today.
