OTRURA presents its IX movement on Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid’s catwalk. The collection reflects upon mental health being an emotional journey guided by the creators Sergio Lázaro and Verónica Abián. Each of Otrura’s fashion shows reflects upon an important aspect of current social context, and thus ‘Saliendo de la espiral’ is created, a complex fashion proposal in which patterns overlap and tear with anxiety.
The human body is the main protagonist of the new Otrura collection. Leather garments that simulate the abdominal muscles, transparencies and openings reveal the interior in an exercise of bringing out, without taboos or guilt, the meaning of depression.
Tailoring is once again the common thread of a very introspective fashion show. Otrura performs a deconstruction of classic garments to transform them, showing them softer and lighter, stripped of heavy loads. Thus, the pattern of a trench coat becomes a flowing dress or jackets are composed of light materials.
