María Lafuente chooses the headquarters of the Spanish Olympic Committee as the setting to present her new collection, titled 'Ineffable'. The designer once again showcases her fashion proposals in Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid’s off schedule. A fashion show that enjoyed the participation of the Young Dance Company Graduates from Professional Schools and Authorized Centres from Castilla and León, which premiered on the catwalk the choreography “Miradas en Blanco”, a manifesto against gender violence.
Sustainability once again rises as a fundamental concept in the collection, materializing in the use of new techniques and materials. Always innovative, Lafuente uploaded to the catwalk garments, accessories, and eyewear made using 3D printing, a project she has developed together with Pixel Sistemas and its 3DFashion system.
Tulle stands out as an essential material in the latest Lafuente collections, a fabric that has become her hallmark allowing her to create volumes and sets of transparencies. Nature serves as inspiration for the designer to create organic patterns in her garments and devise a chromatic scale made up of colours pink, aubergine, nude or peach.
