MARÍA LAFUENTE chose the headquarters of the International Olympic Committee as the setting to present her new collection, titled 'Sukha'. The designer from León has thus showcased her fashion proposals in the off schedule of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid with a fashion show full of colour and fantasy that permeates each of the designer’s presentations.
María Lafuente’s new creations seek to convey the strength and courage that arise in the face of difficulty. Sustainability features again as an essential concept in the collection, for which the designer once again experiments with new techniques and materials. Always innovative, Lafuente has brought to the catwalk a dress made using 3D print with TIRE-X fabric, a project that she has developed together with SIGNUS and Lowpoly.
Tulle stands out as an essential fabric in Lafuente's latest collections. A material that allows her to create volumes as well as sets of transparencies that have become a hallmark of María Lafuente's creations. Colour is the common thread of her new proposal, creating a language through which to convey the optimism and joy inherent in the work of the fashion designer.
