Maria Lafuente moves forward without looking back in “Henko”

María Lafuente presents “Henko” at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Madrid, a collection that arises from the Japanese concept of "point of no return", influenced by the experience lived during the DANA in Valencia.

The collection takes as its symbol the lotus flower, which blooms in the mud and represents how in the most difficult situations opportunities for renewal are created.

This philosophy, which transforms adversity into creativity, is also reflected in the textures and nuances created by Úrsula García Lafuente, creative director of makeup and hair, based on elements of nature.

Each piece reflects the technology of Jeanología, showcasing that technological avant-garde enhances creativity without sacrificing artisanal essence.

In this collection Lafuente has also collaborated with DehesaLana to revive merino wool as a symbol of tradition, sustainability and community. The collection uses laser technology to enhance expressiveness and achieve unique designs.

Additionally, the designer's proposal stands out for its collaborative approach with Humana; a foundation that promotes textile recycling, and Cement Design; a specialist in ecological decorative coatings, whom have joined forces towards a more conscious future.

With “Henko” María Lafuente transmits a message of awareness and authenticity, reminding us that, even in the darkest moments, new opportunities for change and creation arise.
