An extraordinary enclave, like the Teatro Español, has become the stage for the presentation of the Oteyza collection. "Lances" is the title chosen by Paul García de Oteyza and Caterina Pañeda, creative directors and founders of the fashion brand, for the fall / winter 2019-2020 proposal, in which two apparently opposite poles merge: classic regionalisms and vanguards from late 19th and 20th century.
This collection is a tribute to the past with an eye on the present. A journey towards identity through time, a proposal that confirms a logical continuity to the work that the fashion brand is doing in favour of the recovery of classic Spanish tailoring garments, and the use of black merino sheep wool, a Spanish native species in danger of extinction.
Oteyza has collaborated with painter from Barcelona, Fernando Mastretta, for this spectacular mise-en-scene. The artist, using techniques and digital formats, has made an unpublished work live during the fashion show.
