Designer Fashion rings in the New Year

New Year’s Eve brings together once again, fashion, music and television. From the pre-New Year’s Eve celebrations to the midnight bell chimes, ACME designers accompany some of the most memorable moments of the New Year’s Eve festivities, creating looks designed for live performances that will remain in the collective memory.

The celebrations kicked off in Puerta del Sol with Neox’s pre-New Year’s Eve broadcast. There, Lola Lolita wore an exclusive design by LOLA CASADEMUNT, custom-made in her atelier. A halter-neck dress with sequin embroidery, mermaid skirt, a central cut-out embroidered with jet beads, and finished with a black feather waistband. The oversized taffeta cape completes a look that combines stage presence, craftsmanship, and a confident image for a symbolic night.

RTVE continued the evening with La Casa de la Música, where singer Amaia (LODVG) reappeared in an outfit designed by Isabel Zapardiez. An enveloping structure built from 56 meters of fabric, in which white neoprene defines the volume while the fluorescent yellow interior appears only when in motion.

Meanwhile, Lina Sevilla wore Lola Índigo in her homage to Federico García Lorca, reinterpreting the poem “Verde que te quiero verde” with a Spanish mantilla as its conceptual axis. From the house’s archival piece, a contemporary reinterpretation is constructed in which tradition and current aesthetics converse naturally, projecting the cultural legacy into the present.

At the same time, as the New Year’s Eve countdown unfolds in different settings, in TV3, Laura Escanes chose Yolancris, who designed a classically inspired corset dress in French cotton lace and silk tulle, with handcrafted taffeta flowers. Completing the look with a red taffeta coat, conceived as a stage piece and designed for the pace of live television.

Meanwhile, RTVE bids farewell to the year with music duo Estopa, dressed by Félix Ramiro. Two tailored designs that reinterpret classicism with a contemporary perspective: a double-breasted tuxedo with six buttons and peak lapels for singer David Muñoz, and a more refined version with a single button and rounded lapels for his brother, José Muñoz. Understated elegance, true to the duo’s identity and the spirit of the moment.

From the pre-New Year’s Eve celebrations to the final toast, ACME’s designers have once again demonstrated that designer fashion is an integral part of Spain’s New Year’s Eve cultural narrative by accompanying the moments that mark the transition from one year to the next.
