20/08/2020

The Spanish fashion community, led by the Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España (ACME), and under the umbrella of the city council’s initiative, Madrid Capital de Moda, presents a new edition of Madrid es Moda, a project that reinvents itself to support and revitalize Spanish fashion after Covid-19 with the backing of Madrid Business Forum. The objective of Madrid es Moda is to create a communication platform that raises Spanish Fashion Brand’s awareness in the consumer, both locally and globally, as well as broadcasting their visibility. These being essential objectives to achieve a rapid recovery after the recent health crisis as well as reinforcing the fashion shows program of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid.

Madrid es Moda will enhance those aspects that make the Spanish fashion industry unique: brands with soul, designer proposals that are committed to a new luxury based on talent teams, crafts, local production, responsible consumption, quality, and the recovery of crafts and traditions. Madrid es Moda will be a meeting point, a promotion space for those Spanish firms that defend slow fashion as the basis of a future fashion philosophy.

MeM will enjoy the participation of: ÁNGEL SCHLESSER, BEATRIZ PEÑALVER, BRAIN & BEAST, DEVOTA & LOMBA, DOLORES CORTÉS, DOMINNICO, DUARTE, ERNESTO NARANJO, GARCÍA MADRID, HELENA ROHNER, JC PAJARES, JORGE VÁZQUEZ, JUAN VIDAL, LEANDRO CANO, MANS, MARCOS LUENGO, MARÍA LAFUENTE, MIGUEL MARINERO, MOISÉS NIETO, OLIVA, OTEYZA, PERTEGAZ, PILAR DALBAT, RELIQUIAE, ROBERTO VERINO, TERESA HELBIG, THE EXTREME COLLECTION and 44 STUDIO.

This commercial initiative is launched due to the alliance between the Association and Es Fascinante, which supports Spanish creative talent and the slow fashion movement through the online sale of Made in / by Spain fashion brands. This e-commerce web site transmits the values of slow fashion as well as the essence and the experience of shopping in a designer’s atelier in an online environment, offering a specialized and personalized treatment that connects the fashion creator’s universe with the end customer.

Additionally, Madrid es Moda will promote local commerce through exclusive experiences with participating brands. From September 7th to 13th, designers will be offering their new fall / winter 2020-2021 collections for sale, as well as small capsule collections or iconic garments from their careers, at public reduced capacity events.
